GRAND LEDGE - Located west of Lansing, MI, This small town is
home to “the ledges” in Oak Park. The 35 - 40 ft. sandstone cliffs
running along the Grand River, give Grand Ledge its name. It’s also
home to cliff swallows, bats and over 40 species of wildflowers
including the cliff dwelling Harebell (Campanula rotundifolia).
The ledges offer great climbing and is the perfect place for basic
and intermediate level rock climbing.

include hands on instruction, and a practical exam to strongly
emphasize the importance of safety and development of positive
climbing and environmental ethics for climbing in the natural
world. Some previous outdoor rock climbing experience is required.

offering a unique outdoor adventure designed for scouting
and youth groups looking for something different, right here
in Mid-Michigan! Groups will enjoy rock climbing at Oak Park
(on real rocks), tent camping at Fitzgerald Park and canoeing
or hiking along the beautiful Grand River. No previous climbing
experience is necessary. All you need is a sense of adventure!
For groups of 16 to 30. Canoe rentals available.

TO WALL CLIMBING |

Experience the
excitement of indoor rock climbing! This course covers safety,
climbing technique and gives you a taste of indoor climbing.
Course location: the climbing wall at the University of Michigan
at Dearborn. No previous climbing experience is necessary!
We provide all climbing equipment, a safe and friendly environment,
knowledgeable instructors and lots of fun. This course can
be taken in the 5 week or 15 week format. We also book birthday
parties and youth group events. Call for details.
